Athletes of the Month

Boys Basketball - Iman Chatman-Dixon, 10^th

Sophomore guard, Iman Chatman-Dixon is becoming the leader on the Crusader basketball team and his performance on the floor has been one of the keys to the team’s success. His skills continue to improve through his hard work and efforts.

Girls Basketball - Victoria Manriquez, 12^th

Senior guard Victoria Manriquez has been a positive influence to the team during the month of January. She attended all the practices and is always going 100% in practice and in the games. She motivated her teammates during games and practices with her hustle and words of encouragement.

Boys Soccer - Paul Arriola, 11^th

Paul is the driving force in our offensive attack. Paul has also been on top of his academics and leads by example with his hard work ethics. Paul's motto for sports is “play hard or go home.”

Girls Soccer -  Paola Torres, 12^th

Lady Crusader Senior, Paola Torres is as hard working as any player on the team. Paola is consistent with her every day improvement on the field and a leads the Lady Crusader Soccer Team by example.

Girls Water Polo - Lynn San Roman, 11^th

Lynn is as bright of a personality, as she is an athlete. Lynn brings a sunny and warm attitude along with a great athletic ability to the pool and team.  She has been a great addition to the team this year.  

Wrestling - Sean O' Rourke, 10^th

Sean has developed into one of the strongest sophomore wrestlers in the Metro Conference. Sean wrestled an incredible tournament in Holtville taking down the 5^th seed while placing tied for 7^th. He was the champion of the Mira Mesa JV tournament as well as being undefeated at our own varsity team tournament. His leadership as team captain is testament to his commitment to both the team and the sport itself.

Cheer Squad-  Monica Cooper, 9^th

As the only freshman on the varsity cheer squad, Monica proved from the outset that she was capable of meeting the stringent requirements to cheer varsity. In a very short time Monica has proved to be a dedicated, passionate performer and an asset to the varsity team.
