MDC's 2011 Softball Team

Our 2011 Softball team faced incredible challenges, including the passing of Coach Perry Burgess. Their unwavering dedication to their team and love for their sport led them all the way to the CIF championship to face Madison High School with a record of 28 and 0. Trailing 6 to 3 in the top of the last inning, they scored five runs and went on to win 8 to 6. By taking care of each other and playing as a team, they finished their season the Mater Dei way “With the heart and soul of a champion."
