Distance Learning

ScheduleSince we remain on the state monitoring list, we will begin the 2020/2021 school year as 100% distance learning. In the distance learning format, students will be meeting synchronously with each of their teachers for 60-minute blocks. We will have short breaks between each class, with a 30-minute lunch break at 11:30. Teachers will be available all day Wednesday for appointments, with designated office times for each department.

With Zoom meetings being our professional environment, the following procedures should be in place for all students.

1.) Students will be required to turn on their camera during class time and leave it on for the duration of the class.

2.) Students need to use their exact First and Last name in the Zoom classroom. Students should be in a seated position preferably at a desk with an appropriate background.

3.) Students are required to wear a MDCHS shirt. The shirt does not have to be a school polo, it can be any t-shirt, hoodie or outerwear with a MDCHS logo somewhere on the shirt.

Even though we will be starting the year online, we continue to prepare the campus and finalize the plans for when we can return to campus. Once we are off the state monitoring list, it will take a minimum of 14 days to open our campus. We are working diligently to put the safest measures in place to open our campus and keep it opened. Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation as we get ready to kick off the 2020-2021 school year!
