The Milke Family Scholarship
Awarded annually to a student/athlete(s) who exhibits a will to succeed and lead in academics, athletics and citizenship. Someone who epitomizes the adage of “work hard and good things will happen!” This award is in honor of Bud & Virginia Milke, longtime supporters of St. Rose of Lima, Marian Catholic / Mater Dei Catholic High School.

The John Pappas Memorial Scholarship
Awarded annually to an incoming Junior for their determination, effort, attitude and behavior exhibited in the classroom and on the athletic field. Someone who truly makes a difference at Mater Dei Catholic High School. Mr. Pappas was a longtime teacher and coach at Marian Catholic High School.

Richard G. Balelo Sr. Memorial Scholarship Program
The recipient of the Richard G. Balelo Memorial Scholarship epitomizes leadership, sacrifice and overcoming adversity on the field, in the classroom as well as in the community.
Student must have at least one-year participation on Frosh, Junior Varsity or Varsity football team. Must demonstrate satisfactory or outstanding citizenship.
  • GPA: 2.5 or above
  • Recipient chosen by Administration.

MDCHS Katherine Rubano Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a member of the senior class who has been accepted into a nursing program, has good grades, has taken per-requisites in sciences, is a serious student, and who can prove financial need to attend school. If there is no nursing student, then it can be awarded to a student who has been accepted into a pre-med program. The interest in medicine is foremost.
Mary Ruis Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to any prospective Freshman or current Mater Dei Catholic High School student athlete(s) that has ever participated in the sport of wrestling during their K-8 education years or in high school. Scholarship recipients shall be identified by their quality character traits, which have been ingrained in a value system forged and reinforced due to their participation in the sport of wrestling. Recipients should also have a display of leadership, effort, citizenship and high moral character in the classroom and a sincere responsibility to help others by making a positive difference in the community through volunteerism..

GPA: 2.5 or above

Dr. Estelle L. Kassebaum Memorial Scholarship Program

Scholarships are awarded annually to qualified members of the Junior Class of Mater Dei Catholic High School. Candidates who are selected exemplify excellence in scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

Dr Estelle L. Kassebaum Memorial Scholarship Program Fall 2017 Applications are available in the school counselors office beginning on August 2017 or you can download it from the link below when available.
The service based scholarship is available to current MDCHS Juniors.
Scholarship will be awarded for the students senior year toward tuition at MDCHS. Please direct questions to school counselors.
Pay It Forward Scholarship

Awarded annually to a student who strives to be a leader in his/her school and home community. Available for low income families or families with large out of pocket medical expenses. Special consideration will be given to students who have lost a parent, a student who has a diagnosed learning disability and/or special need, and/or have a special needs or disabled parent or sibling.

GPA: 3.0 or above
Student must participate in, at minimum, one extra-curricular school activity (sports, ASB, Campus Ministry, Ambassadors, choir, clubs, etc.)
