Mater Dei Catholic offers what few can: a comprehensive, diverse, faith-based, coeducational high school experience that will last a lifetime.

We believe every student possesses unique talents, abilities, and potential. In order for students to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally, it takes hard work, commitment, and access to resources. With this in mind, we have designed our curriculum to cater to a wide range of students, ensuring they have the opportunities and tools they need to succeed.

We’re proud to offer an array of honors, dual enrollment, college preparatory, and advanced placement classes for those seeking academic challenges and opportunities to excel. Students in need of additional academic support have access to our counseling team, Language Academy, and Aquinas Center. In addition, tutoring is included for every student as part of their tuition.

We know that a major part of a school experience is based around community. Ours is a safe environment where our students are known and loved. We offer expansive opportunities for leadership, community building, and service. Our students start the process of building life-long friendships shortly after they enter the Crusader family. These are the people that will continue to play a role in your child’s life after the testing and textbooks are gone.

Our esteemed Academy of Science offers a specialized work-based learning experience for students interested in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Through this program, thousands of our students have secured coveted internships throughout San Diego, giving them a competitive edge as they move forward in their educational and professional journeys.
